Angela Tang, LCSW

PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Angela Tang is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and joined RAMS in 2004. During her nearly two decades of service at RAMS, Angela has demonstrated commitment to the Mission and Vision, and to the well-being and professional development of RAMS staff. She has served on the Leadership Team and has been creative & strategic through having fostered innovative and culturally responsive programs while building the infrastructure for operational excellence, quality improvement, sustainability, and scalability. Today, RAMS has continuously achieved outstanding external reviews and is recognized as a highly reputable mental health services provider in the San Francisco Bay Area. Moreover, Ms. Tang is an inclusive and values-oriented leader and communicator that cultivates meaningful staff engagement strategies.

She has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Smith College School for Social Work (honorary) and a Program Advisor for Boston University School of Social Work. Prior to RAMS, Ms. Tang worked in various community organizations and government settings including Hamilton-Madison House (NYC), a union employee assistance program (NYC), NYC Human Resources Administration/Dept. of Social Services, Asian Women’s Shelter (SF), and Balboa Teen Health Clinic (SF). Also, she was on the founding Board of Directors for Friends of Roots, a volunteer-run genealogy organization that promotes an awareness of the Chinese American identity.

A San Francisco native, Ms. Tang earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree at SF State University and received her Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University (Administration concentration). She is certified in Lean Six Sigma and has had certification in Healthcare Compliance. Her areas of interest include macro-level, systems, and strengths-based theories & practices; organizational development; and program evaluation.
