ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF TRAINING

Growing up in an immigrant family in the Bay Area inspired Ida’s lifelong commitment to health justice. After attaining a Master’s degree in Community Mental Health, Ida joined RAMS as a bilingual mental health counselor in the Adult Outpatient Program. In 2018, Ida transitioned into the Peer Division as the Peer Specialist Mental Health Certificate Program Manager, helping build a community of hundreds of alumni of RAMS Peer Support Specialist training courses. Under Ida’s leadership, the entry-level course underwent approval as a Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification Training, allowing graduates to now become state-certified professionals in the behavioral health field. In 2024, Ida became the Associate Director of Training at Peer Division, increasing educational offerings to include training shelter staff for the SF Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing. Ida loves being in the classroom and engaging with the never ending challenge of keeping lessons updated, experiential, and trauma-informed, as well as supporting program staff with developing their own learning materials and facilitation style for the unique settings that RAMS serves. As hobbies, Ida enjoys eating good food with family, walking along a cold Norcal shoreline, and searching for treasure at thrift stores.
